A Song for Bolko

Dom Zdrojowy w Szczawno Zdroju

1 December 2026 at 19:00:00

This recital is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the death of Bolko von Hochberg. The composer and impresario passed away in the former Grand Hotel in Bad Salzbrunn (now Szczawno-Zdrój), one of Lower Silesia's most important historic monuments. Today, the sanatorium in this famous spa town—which was also home to the Nobel laureate Gerhart Hauptmann—is freshly renovated.
In the stunning Oval Hall, Paulina Bielarczyk and Seulgi Lee will present not only famous art songs and arias from German and Polish vocal literature but also a true highlight: the world premiere of an aria by Bolko von Hochberg from his opera Der Werwolf.
